About me

For the longest time, I thought I wanted to be a scientist. After years of lab work and a handful of rejection letters from top-tier graduate schools, I realized it wasn’t for me.
While I love science (who doesn’t, though?), my true passion is learning. Through my writing, I have the opportunity to speak with incredibly intelligent people about their work. My job is to make sense of everything and share what I’ve learned in an accessible package.
My academic training is in biology, psychology and neuroscience. I’ve done a good mix of work: neuroscience, agriculture, environmental analysis, and mental health. In 2020, I earned a certificate in technical writing. Now, I’m pursuing a master’s in science writing from Johns Hopkins University.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, playing music, and finding new hobbies. Next up: painting.
